Wow!!! That’s impressive that they can give you a trade in value for your car via cell phone without even looking at it!! And I’m totally sure it’s for top dollar, and it won’t suddenly shrink by 20% when you’re at the dealer!!!

I did once trade in a car without the dealer even looking at it. Sometimes they give 0 fucks as long as you drive out in something else. Lucky for me because the car was junk and they gave me reasonable value for it.

From what I’ve seen, they don’t spend much time looking at cars that they know will just be loaded onto a trailer to go to auction. Surprised they didn’t look at all though- - as long as you got a fair price, that’s all that matters.

No dealer would even pay me $500 for my Legacy, but screw them, I can get more by selling it to another fresh-out-of-Driver’s-Ed lemming for them to suffer through the miserable 4EAT learn all about the practicality of wagons with AWD!
